Hi, I'm Ameryst.

While receiving my Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice at Texas Christian University, I began my work in the mental health field. Through a child advocacy center, I worked supporting survivors of human trafficking and other child survivors of trauma.

My passion for supporting adolescents and their families through difficult times continued to grow when I went into offering intensive in-home services through a non-profit. I offered these services as I completed my Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regis University. In these services, I strengthened my expertise of offering trauma-informed care from an attachment based lens.

Now, in a private practice setting I am able to offer more personalized services to further support adolescents and their families to heal fractured relationships. As humans we have a natural born desire to connect with others, and in that connection the deepest healing can be done.

The Goal
My Approach
To create a space of safety, where you can develop a sense of personal meaning through trust and compassion.

Humans are naturally born with a desire to connect, and connection allows us to heal in the most genuine ways.

During sessions, I will move at a pace that is comfortable for you as you explore distressing emotions and experiences. Then we will collaborate to develop insight and create tools that create lasting change to increase fulfillment in life.

I use an attachment-based and trauma-informed therapy approach to support you in reaching your therapy goals.

Why therapy?
My passion for therapy grew from my own healing process in a therapeutic setting. In my experience as a therapist as well as throughout life, I have grown to see the importance of moving through life’s difficult experiences in connection with others.
