Hi, I'm Ameryst.
While receiving my Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice at Texas Christian University, I began my work in the mental health field. Through a child advocacy center, I worked supporting survivors of human trafficking and other child survivors of trauma.
My passion for supporting adolescents and their families through difficult times continued to grow when I went into offering intensive in-home services through a non-profit. I offered these services as I completed my Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regis University. In these services, I strengthened my expertise of offering trauma-informed care from an attachment based lens.
Now, in a private practice setting I am able to offer more personalized services to further support adolescents and their families to heal fractured relationships. As humans we have a natural born desire to connect with others, and in that connection the deepest healing can be done.
